Ulsan Jung-gu Social Welfare Cent serves to improve the quality of the residents life from handicapped children & senior citizens day care centers, House welfare volunteering Center, Beni child house. In detail, we take care of the handicapped children and the old with slight dementia in day time for helping their family members to do their work without worry. Moreover, for their independent lives, supporting the solitary senior citizens and the parentless juveniles are performed in the center.

Since the IMF crisis, the number of jobless and homeless people has increased from the metro city to vicinities. Thereby, in order to help to make a base for their independent lives, we provide their basic needs, boards and lodgings, job consultation, medical support and counseling. KVO began to run the shelter for the homeless people in March 1998, independently. We became consigned by Ulsan city as the center for jobless and homeless people, equipped with audio and video room, refectory, fitness center, and library. We especially focused on practical support such as job-related counseling and recruiting. The service was closed in March, 2012.

This institution was designated by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Department on July 1, 2001. We run the programs for long-term unemployed and low income people in order to help them have motivation through systemic self-support Guardianship.

The aim of the work
| Due to the synergy effect from World cup 2002, the number
of foreign tourists is tremendously increasing. So, we serve
to guide Korean traditions and touring information to contribute
to the nongovernmental diplomacy and touring industry. |
