In the Democratic Republic of Congo(hereafter DRC) where KVO has got an NGO registered, the malaria infection rate in under-five children and pregnant women is very high and that has a direct connection with the high infant mortality rate.
Therefore KVO has opened a malaria center focused on malaria prevention and treatment for under-five children and pregnant women to decrease the infant mortality rate.
Starting from this, KVO will ultimately makes an effort to decrease the malaria infection rate in the DRC.


1. Project name: Combat malaria and implement Malaria prevention programmes in Kisangani
2. Beneficiaries: 450,000 under-five children and pregnant women in 3 regions of Kisangani.
3. Project contents
*Malaria center establishment and operations, malaria treatment and prevention
*Insecticide-treated mosquito nets distribution, Malaria prevention and hygiene education
*Current medical staff: 2 doctors, 5 nurses, 1 pathologist
